A Defining Moment: Navitas Three Phase Launches in Northern Ireland

Last week marked a moment we have been working towards for more than five years.

Navitas three phase distribution boards are now live in Northern Ireland through Wholesale Electrical Supplies. It is a launch we are immensely proud of, not simply because it expands our range, but because of what it represents for the business and the people behind it.

This has been a long and, at times, demanding process. The development has involved years of engineering, repeated testing, refinement, and, at points, difficult decisions around whether something was truly ready or still needed more time. There have been delays, there have been setbacks, and there have been moments where the standard we set ourselves required us to go back and do it again.

That discipline has shaped the product. Every detail has been considered with intent, not just to meet expectations, but to exceed them where it matters most.

It would be wrong to present this as something achieved in isolation. The role of electricians and wholesalers in shaping this range has been significant. From early prototypes shown at trade events to ongoing conversations with those working on site, the feedback has been direct, honest, and invaluable.

We would like to recognise James Watkins, Gavin Lewis, and Declan Brown in particular, along with the many others who took the time to engage with the product as it developed. Their input has been built into what is now being brought to market.

In circuit protection, the strength of a brand is ultimately defined by its three phase offer. Single phase remains the foundation of the market and must be executed consistently well, but three phase is where engineering, design, and build quality are tested at a higher level. It is where expectations increase and where products establish their reputation.

Developed in line with UK installation standards including BS 7671, the range has been engineered with a focus on practical performance as much as compliance.

That is why this launch carries weight for us as a company.

Bringing the product to Northern Ireland first, in partnership with Wholesale Electrical Supplies, is also significant. They have supported Navitas from the beginning, and there is a strong relationship built on trust and shared standards. Their customer base has shown consistent support for the brand, and it feels entirely appropriate that this range has been introduced there first.

Attention now turns to the wider UK launch, which is scheduled for the end of May. Over the coming weeks, we are focused on building stock, expanding the range, and ensuring that the infrastructure is in place to support a full and considered rollout.

As the UK rollout approaches, interest from wholesalers and contractors continues to build, with stock and range expansion already underway ahead of the May launch.

While any three phase distribution board can be assessed against standards and specifications, the true measure of its quality is how it performs over time. The decisions made during development have not been limited to initial installation, but have also considered how the product will be experienced years later, when it is revisited for maintenance, modification, or expansion.

That long term usability is where the real value lies, and it is an area we have taken seriously throughout the process.

For Navitas, this is a defining point. It reflects the level of care, attention, and commitment that has gone into building the business to this stage, and it sets the standard for what follows.

The Northern Ireland launch is the first step. The UK rollout at the end of May is the next.

What happens beyond that will be determined, as it always is in this industry, by performance on site and the response from those who use it.
