The Navitas 10A 30mA Type A Bidirectional RCBO is designed to provide combined protection against overload currents, short circuit currents and residual earth fault currents within a single protective device. Built in a compact one module format, it helps maximise available board space while still providing individual circuit protection.
Unlike traditional single pole RCBOs, this device uses switched neutral operation, disconnecting both line and neutral conductors during operation. This provides an improved condition after disconnection and supports safer inspection, maintenance and fault finding.
The bidirectional design allows the device to operate correctly regardless of supply orientation, making it suitable for modern installations where current flow direction may need to be considered. This is increasingly important as electrical systems evolve beyond simple one way supply arrangements.
Type A residual current protection is included as standard, allowing the device to detect both alternating residual currents and pulsating DC residual currents generated by modern electronic equipment.
