The Navitas 50A 30mA Type A 10kA RCBO combines overload, short circuit and residual current protection within a single device. Designed for applications where higher fault current levels may be present, it provides 10kA breaking capacity alongside Type A residual current detection for modern installations. Available in B Curve and C Curve variants, it allows installers to select the appropriate tripping characteristic for the application while benefiting from individual circuit protection.

Overview

50A Type A 10kA RCBO

The 50A RCBO is designed for higher demand circuits where both overcurrent and residual current protection are required within a single device. By providing individual circuit protection, faults can be isolated without unnecessarily affecting other circuits within the installation.

The Navitas 10kA RCBO range has been developed for installations where higher prospective fault currents may be encountered, making it particularly suitable for commercial installations, industrial environments and larger distribution systems where a higher fault rating may be required.

Featuring Type A residual current protection as standard, the device is designed to detect both alternating current (AC) residual currents and pulsating direct current (DC) residual currents generated by many modern electronic loads. Available in both B Curve and C Curve variants, installers can select the most appropriate device for the connected equipment and expected inrush characteristics.

Like every RCBO within the Navitas range, each device is individually tested and independently certified to deliver the consistency, reliability and predictable performance professional installers expect.

Applications

The Navitas 50A 30mA Type A 10kA RCBO is commonly specified for higher demand circuits where individual overload, short circuit and residual current protection are required. Its 10kA breaking capacity makes it particularly suitable for installations where higher prospective fault currents may be present.

Typical applications include:

• Large radial circuits

• Commercial kitchen equipment

• High demand power circuits

• Air conditioning systems

• Industrial machinery

• Plant room equipment

• Commercial water heating systems

• Distribution sub circuits

• Distribution board upgrades

• New commercial installations

For resistive and general purpose higher demand circuits, the B Curve variant is typically selected. Where higher inrush currents may be present from motors, compressors, pumps, air conditioning systems or similar equipment, the C Curve variant may be more appropriate.

Why Choose Navitas

Why Navitas RCBOs

Modern installations place greater demands on circuit protection than ever before. Smart controls, LED lighting, electronic loads, EV chargers, solar PV, battery storage and heat pump technology have changed the way electricians need to think about protection devices.

The Navitas Bidirectional RCBO range has been developed for that shift. By combining bidirectional operation, switched neutral functionality and Type A residual current protection in a compact one module format, it gives installers a flexible solution for modern consumer units and distribution boards.

Every device is individually tested before leaving the factory and undergoes a comprehensive 37 point quality control inspection process. This is supported by independent certification from TÜV Rheinland Germany, helping to ensure consistent performance from one device to the next.

The result is a protection device designed around the reality of modern installation work. Easier to specify, easier to install and built to perform when it matters most.
